Guesty Lite and Pro FAQs for Guesty For Hosts users

What is happening with Guesty For Hosts?

Support for Guesty For Hosts will end on January 15, 2026. We’re investing our resources into Guesty Lite and Guesty Pro, our other platforms that offer more robust features, smoother workflows, and better long-term scalability.

This mean that from January 15, the Guesty For Hosts platform remains active but we will no longer be handling day-to-day support tickets. We’re committed to ensuring your transition is as smooth as possible and that you have everything you need to succeed on the new platform.

What does this mean for me?

We're migrating Guesty For Hosts users to other Guesty products, Guesty Lite or Guesty Pro, for several important reasons:

Unified technology and faster innovation: Guesty For Hosts is a legacy platform and will no longer receive updates, while Guesty packages are continuously invested in and improved.

Better support and reliability: Focusing support and resources on one modern platform ensures more efficient customer service and stronger system reliability, security, and performance.

Customer value: Both Guesty packages, Lite and Pro, include all the functionality Guesty For Hosts users rely on, plus new features that save time, increase visibility, and help grow bookings. The onboarding process has been designed to minimize disruption and maximize benefits for hosts.

Is there a migration tool available to help transfer my data?

Based on the resources provided, Guesty offers migration assistance. When transitioning from Guesty For Hosts to either Guesty Lite or Pro, the Guesty team will help facilitate the data migration process and manually setting up your new account. You’ll likely be assigned an onboarding specialist who can guide you through transferring your property information, booking data, and guest communications.

What are the main differences between Guesty Lite and Guesty Pro?

Guesty Lite is designed for hosts managing fewer properties and offers core functionality similar to Guesty For Hosts but with improved features. Guesty Pro is a more comprehensive solution with advanced automation, reporting, and management tools designed for larger operations or hosts looking to scale their business.

What are the main benefits of Guesty Lite compared to Guesty for Hosts?

Guesty For Hosts is a legacy platform with limited updates, while Guesty Lite benefits from continuous innovation and enhancements, including:

  • Improved data flow to prevent double bookings
  • Better customer experience
  • Improved platform stability
  • Faster integrations and enhanced marketplace connectivity
  • 24/7 support including chat, email, and the help center
  • Expanded third-party integrations available in the Marketplace
Will I lose access to my account during the transition?

No, the GFH account is still active until you deactivate your account. Your account will remain active until you onboard to one of our available packages.

How much preparation do I need to do beforehand?

We recommend starting your onboarding to the new platform about one month before your planned move from Guesty for Hosts.

Beforehand, it’s helpful to:

  • Export any data you’d like to keep from your GFH account
  • Prepare to participate in the setup and onboarding session for Guesty Lite
  • Review your operations and complete any tasks you can in advance

Taking care of these steps early will make your transition smoother and help you get up and running faster on your new platform.

Will I lose any features when moving from Guesty For Hosts?

While Guesty Lite maintains most of the same core functionality as Guesty For Hosts, the user interface and certain workflows may differ. Some specific Guesty For Hosts features might be implemented differently in Lite, but the essential property management capabilities remain available.

Will my pricing change immediately when transitioning?

The pricing structure differs between platforms. During the transition, Guesty representatives will work with you to explain the new pricing model and any promotional offers that might be available to existing Guesty For Hosts customers.

Can I use both systems simultaneously during the transition period?

There may be a period where you’ll have access to both systems to ensure a smooth transition without disrupting your ongoing operations. Your onboarding specialist can provide specific guidance for your situation.

Will I need to reconnect my channel integrations when moving to the new platform?

You will likely need to reestablish connections with channel partners like Airbnb, Vrbo, and Booking.com when moving to the new platform. The onboarding team can provide assistance with reconfiguring these integrations.

Can historical reservations data be downloaded and plugged into Guesty Lite?

In general historical booking data can be transferred to your new Guesty Lite account. For more information see Uploading reservations to Guesty.

What training resources are available to learn the new platform?

Both Guesty Pro and Guesty Lite offer comprehensive help centers, video tutorials, and onboarding assistance. Training sessions may also be available to help you become familiar with the new interface and features.

How will I get my balance refunded if I switch to Guesty Pro or Lite?

Your Guesty For Hosts refund will be automatically processed and returned to the credit card associated with your account as soon as you start paying for Guesty Lite or Guesty Pro. The refund amount will be calculated based on your unused subscription time. Please allow 5-10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement. If you have any questions about your refund, please contact Guesty For Hosts with a ticket for the billing team.

Will my Guesty website domain stay the same?
You can have the same website name, but if you're not using a custom domain then the subdomain will be different. "staydirectly.com" is a Guesty For Hosts subdomain. Your new website will use the Guesty Lite subdomain ".guestybookings.com".
Can I still run income reports?
You can still run income reports in Guesty For Hosts. However, once Airbnb is disconnected, no new reservations are imported and won't be included in the data.
