Migrating from Guesty For Hosts to Guesty Lite or Pro Guesty For Hosts (GFH) is being fully sunset and will no longer be available after May 31, 2026. To ensure your business continues to run smoothly, you must migrate to Guesty Lite or Guesty Pro. These modern platforms offer improved stability, faster performance, and continued access to support and product updates. This article answers frequently asked questions regarding the sunset of Guesty For Hosts and the transition to Guesty’s long-term packages.
The sunset process
Guesty For Hosts is a legacy platform. We are focusing our teams and investments on Guesty Lite and Guesty Pro to deliver a better user interface, stronger reliability, and market-fit features. Migrating ensures you have access to a unified platform designed to help your business grow.
After this date, Guesty For Hosts will be fully sunset and no longer accessible. You won’t be able to log in, access your data, or manage your properties through the platform. You would need to manage reservations and guest communication directly through each OTA (like Airbnb or Booking.com) manually without Guesty’s centralized tools.
No. Your Guesty For Hosts account remains active while you transition to Guesty Lite or Pro. You can continue managing your business without interruption until the migration is complete. However, all ongoing operations must run on Guesty Lite or Pro by May 31, 2026.
After May 31, 2026, you won’t be able to view or export data from Guesty For Hosts. We strongly encourage all users to complete their migration or export any data they may need in advance.
Migration and onboarding
Every customer is guided by a Guesty Product Expert. For Guesty Lite, this is usually completed in one or two video calls. For Guesty Pro, the expert handles technical setup and data transfers over a few calls while providing a walkthrough of advanced features.
For Guesty Lite, the process is quick and often completed within a few days. For Guesty Pro, the timeline is around 20 days depending on your portfolio size and specific setup needs.
Yes. OTA connections like Airbnb, Booking.com, and Vrbo are not transferred from GFH. You will need to re-establish these connections in your new Guesty Lite or Pro account. The onboarding team will provide assistance with this reconfiguration.
For Guesty Lite users, an optional Premium Onboarding service is available for a $35 fee. A trusted partner manages the disconnection from GFH and the full configuration of your new account within 24 hours.
Data and features
Current and future Airbnb reservations are imported automatically. Past Airbnb reservations (up to 360 days) are also imported, though some financial details may be limited. Booking.com and Vrbo future reservations are also imported, but past data for these channels may require manual upload.
No, these items won’t transfer automatically. You’ll need to set them up again in your new account. Our team will guide you through recreating them during onboarding to ensure a smooth transition.
Once Airbnb is disconnected, most features like smart pricing and messaging stop functioning. However, you can still view income reports, access guest info, and copy message templates for manual transfer. Note that reservation exports won't be available after disconnection.
If you use a custom domain, you can keep it. However, Guesty For Hosts subdomains (staydirectly.com) will change to the new subdomain format (https://www.google.com/search?q=guestybookings.com) on the new platform.
Billing and support
Your GFH subscription will be replaced with a new Lite or Pro plan. Any unused time on your GFH subscription will be refunded on a prorated basis once your new plan is activated. Please allow 5-10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement.
While GFH support was limited to tickets and chatbots, Guesty Pro and Lite offer 24/7 support via live chat (instant responses), email (one-hour average response), and an extensive Help Center with over 2,000 resources.
