Pilot: Why do I need to authenticate my user?

If you have a Guesty For Hosts account, you will be asked to provide information such as your legal name, date of birth, or government ID for verification. These details are required by law as part of the Know Your Customer (KYC) process - a regulatory requirement to protect against fraud and prevent money laundering, for example. As a company licensed to issue payments to individuals, we are required to know who is accessing the account.

If you see an "Authentication needed" banner in your Guesty For Hosts dashboard telling you to "authenticate your user to continue using Guesty For Hosts in a simple procedure", it means your account still needs to go through the KYC identification process. Click on the link in the banner and fill out the form you are redirected to.

This process only needs to be completed once per account.

Note:

Your identification information is collected for compliance purposes, including KYC procedures. We understand the sensitivity of this data and assure you it will be treated in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
