We received an update from Airbnb that due to California Laws, they are prohibiting increasing 10% on their prices for their listings. Hosts who attempt to raise prices by more than 10% will experience failed calendar updates.
On January 7, the California Attorney General issued a consumer alert that stated:
“California law generally prohibits charging a price that exceeds, by more than 10%, the price a seller charged for an item before a state or local declaration of emergency.”
In certain circumstances, we may roll back currently available listings’ prices to the original nightly price structures prior to Jan 7, 2025. For example, if a price increase greater than 10% occurred, it may revert to the listing’s price on Jan 6, 2025, at 23:59PT.
We appreciate your understanding and thank you for your patience.
