Connecting Vrbo to Guesty For Hosts (Standard Connection)

You can sync your Vrbo account with Guesty For Hosts and manage your listings through our platform. Since we have iCal sync with the Vrbo family, you can use Abritel or Stayz calendar links as well. Follow the steps below to connect your account or watch our video.

You can connect multiple Vrbo accounts, simply follow the same steps for each account.

 

1. Connect Your Vrbo account

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty For Hosts account.
  2. In the top menu, click Menu.
  3. Under "Channel manager", click Vrbo.
  4. (For the first account only): click Add new Vrbo account.
  5. Click Accounts.
  6. Click Connect New Vrbo Account.
  7. In the pop-up, enter your Vrbo credentials and click Login.
  8. Enter the verification code sent from Vrbo, and click Verify.
  9. Click Import my listings now. 

Tip:

You have the option to match your listings and to add the Vrbo iCal link at a later time. Follow these instructions.

Step by step:

For each imported Vrbo listing:
  1. Click Match your listing and select the relevant listing.
  2. Click Save.
    1. If a related Vrbo iCal link is found it will be imported automatically. Under the matched listing, a green checkmark appears next to "Valid iCal link found". 
    2. If a link is not found, a red X appears next to "No iCal link found." To add the link:
      1. Follow Vrbo's instructions to export the iCal link.
      2. In Guesty For Hosts under the matched listing, paste the iCal link in the text box.
  3. Copy and save the Guesty For Hosts ical link to import into Vrbo (next steps below). This is necessary to complete the two-way sync with Vrbo.
  4. At the bottom, click Match Listings.

Important:

You must import your iCal link into Vrbo to push previously made reservations and prevent double bookings.

Follow Vrbo's instructions to import the listing's iCal link (copied in the above steps) into Vrbo. If you need to copy the link again, follow the steps here.

4. Push Rates from Guesty For Hosts to Vrbo

Optional: Add Vrbo Markup

You have the option to add a markup for Vrbo on top of your Airbnb rates. Follow the steps below to add a percentage or fixed amount markup for your Vrbo rates.

Step by step:

  1. In the top menu, click Menu.
  2. Under "Channel manager", click Vrbo.
  3. Click Rates.
  4. At the bottom, click Edit.
  5. In the pop-up, enter the relevant percentage or fixed rate amount.
  6. Click Update.

Push Rates to Vrbo

Step by step:

Take this one-time step to push your rates to Vrbo:
  1. In the top menu, click Menu.
  2. Under "Channel manager", click Vrbo.
  3. Click Push Rates.
  4. In the pop-up, click Push.

Important:

"Push Rates" is a one-time action, only needed when you first connect. Custom pricing for Vrbo can be updated directly in the calendar and will be pushed automatically to Vrbo. See this article for more information.

5. (Optional) Manually Block Dates in the Calendar

If you have blocked dates in your Guesty For Hosts calendar, you will need to manually block these for Vrbo. 
  • This is a one-time action, it is only needed if you have blocked dates without reservations.
  • You can do that either from your Vrbo calendar or the Guesty For Hosts calendar, following the steps here and selecting "Vrbo" only as the channel to update.
