Setting Up Auto Payment For Direct Bookings

• Paypal: Only one payment is collected at the time of reservation. 
• Stripe: You can create a payment plan with two different payments (e.g. 50% at time of reservation, 50% 5 days before check-in).
• You must have Stripe set up in order to use Deposit Management. 
• Transaction fees may apply and are at the discretion of the payment processor. If you have any questions about transaction fees, contact Paypal or Stripe directly.

Collect Payments Via Stripe

1. Sign in to Guesty For Hosts.
2. Click Menu.
3. Click Website Builder.
4. Click Create a New Website, or Edit Website as needed.
5. Under "Payment Preference", click Accept online payments via Stripe.
6. Under "Stripe Accounts", select an existing Stripe account, or click Add New Stripe Account and follow the prompts to complete.

7. (Optional) Under "Chargeback Protection", click Activate to require your payments to have 3D secure verification. NOTE: A 2% fee per covered transaction will be charged on your monthly invoice.
   1. Select an activation option:
      1. Keep your website markup the same.
      2. Increase your website markup by 2% to cover the Chargeback Protection fee.
8. Under "Payment Plan", choose your auto payment options:
   1. Pre-payment: Move the sliding scale to set the amount of the accommodation fee to be collected at the of reservation, from 0% to 100%.
   2. Final Payment: Select the number of days before check-in to collect any remaining accommodation fee, plus cleaning fee and other taxes.
9. Click Save.

Collect Payments Via Paypal

1. Sign in to Guesty For Hosts.
2. Click Menu.
3. Click Website Builder.
4. Click Create a New Website, or Edit Website as needed.
5. Under "Payment Preference", click Accept online payments via Paypal.
6. Under "Paypal Account", enter the account email address.
7. Under "Payment Plan", select 100% for the full amount to be charged at the time of reservation, including accommodate fee, cleaning fee, and other taxes.
   1. IMPORTANT: If you choose less than 100%, the final payment will not be collected automatically via Paypal. You will need to collect any remaining balance directly from the guest.
8. Click Save.
