Filing a Guesty Damage Protection Claim

If damage was caused to one of your properties, you'll need to gather the necessary documents and file a claim. Since this may take time, the claim you create in Guesty For Hosts can be saved as a draft while gathering everything. Follow the instructions below.

Note:

Claims must be submitted after the guest has checked out, and within 30 days of the check-out date.

This function can only be completed through the Guesty For Hosts desktop app, not mobile.

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the top navigation bar, click Timeline or Calendar to view reservations.
  3. Click the relevant reservation.
  4. Under "Reservation Details" scroll down to the "Damage Protection" section.
  5. If you are within the claimable period after checkout, click File a claim.
  6. Fill in the form: describe the incident and resulting and upload relevant documents, such as an image of the damaged item.
  7. If you're ready to file the claim right now, Submit claim at the bottom of the page. Otherwise, click Save draft to continue working on it later.
