Track, Pause, Send or Reschedule Automated Messages By Reservation

In addition to editing your message automation rules, you are able to control the messages sent to specific guests. If you would like to edit, pause, or immediately send an automated message for a reservation, follow the steps below.
There are two convenient ways to find and track automated messages, depending on your needs:
  • Option 1: View all automated messages for a reservation in the Calendar.
  • Option 2: View all scheduled messages by date in Messaging Activity.

Find a Scheduled Automated Message

Option 1: View All Automated Messages For a Reservation

  1. Sign in to your Guesty For Hosts account.
  2. In the top menu, click Calendar.
  3. Scroll through the calendar and click on the reservation.
  4. In the Reservation Details pop-up, scroll down to "Automated Messages".
  5. To the right of the relevant message, click See Details.

Option 2: View All Scheduled Messages by Date

  1. Sign in to your Guesty For Hosts account.
  2. In the top menu, click Messaging
  3. Click Automated Messaging.
  4. Click Messaging Activity.
  5. Scroll down through upcoming messages, displayed by date.
  6. To the right of the relevant message, click See Details.

Edit an Automated Message For a Reservation

Whether you access a reservation's message through the Calendar or Messaging Activity, you have the same options shown below to edit the message.

Pause a Message

  • Click Pause Message. This message will not be sent to the guest until it is re-scheduled.

Reschedule a Paused Message

  • Click Reschedule on [Date]. The date is automatically recalculated based on the set rules.
  • To send the message immediately, see below.

Send a Scheduled Message Immediately

  • Click Send Now. In the pop-up warning, click Yes, Send.
  • This will send the message immediately and remove it from the set rule schedule.

Important:

If a reservation is not connected to a channel or is missing guest contact information, it will be undeliverable and paused again automatically. See here for more information.

Edit a Message's Content

  • Click Edit Message to edit the content and attachments, then click Save.

Important:

This action will only edit the message for this specific reservation. If you would like to edit the content of a message template for other reservations, see information here.
