You can now add notes when blocking dates in the calendar to help track why manual changes have been made to your listings' availability. Follow the steps below.
Block Dates and Add Notes
Step by step:
- Sign in to your Guesty For Hosts account.
- In the top menu, click Calendar.
- Select the date range by clicking and dragging from start to end date.
- In the "Update Price and Availability" pop-up, update the relevant details:
- Update Channels: Click the tickbox to exclude a channel from the availability update.
- Availability: Click Blocked.
- Under "Notes", enter the reason for blocking the dates or other relevant information.
If the dates are later changed from Blocked to Available, the following will happen:
- The entire date range made Available: the notes are removed automatically.
- Only some dates made Available: the notes stay with the remaining blocked dates.
View Notes in the Calendar
Added notes will appear in the calendar as a page icon. Hover over the icon to open up and view the notes, as shown below.
Delete Calendar Notes
If you want to delete the notes while keeping the dates Blocked, follow the steps below. Otherwise, changing the date range from Blocked to Available will automatically remove the notes.
Step by step:
- Sign in to your Guesty For Hosts account.
- In the top menu, click Calendar.
- Select the date range with the note.
- In the "Update Price and Availability" pop-up, click the garbage can icon in the "Notes" field.
- Click Update.
