You can change your Vrbo booking settings from instant book to Quote and Hold, or vice versa, in Guesty For Hosts.
For Quote and Hold, you will have up to 24 hours to approve or decline the request in Guesty For Hosts. After 24 hours the request will be declined automatically.
Vrbo Quote and Hold limitations
A Quote and Hold that is declined in Guesty For Hosts is considered canceled by Vrbo.
Keep in mind that if you do not respond to a reservation within 24 hours and it results in a cancellation, you may be subject to a cancellation fee by Vrbo. Timely responses within the first 24 hours are crucial to avoid additional charges and maintain your Premier Host status with Vrbo. If you prefer to streamline the process and avoid manual reviews, we recommend using the instant booking setting. This option will bypass the need for manual intervention and can help you avoid potential cancellations.
If you change the booking setting, the listing will be updated in Vrbo within 24 hours. Follow the steps below.
Change a listing's instant booking setting
Step by step:
- Sign in to your Guesty For Hosts account.
- In the top menu, click Menu.
- Under "Channel manager", click Vrbo.
- Click the relevant Vrbo account.
- To the right of the relevant listing under "Instant Booking", click to select one or the other:
- Instant book
- Quote and Hold
