Use Guesty Damage Protection to make sure you receive compensation for damages caused by guests during their stay without having to confront them.
Before setting up Damage Protection, see here for important information to understand what will be covered under your plan. Once you're ready, follow the steps below.
Important:
If you opt to include confirmed future reservations, you will not be able to add a reservations fee to existing channel bookings.
Step by step:
- Sign in to your Guesty For Hosts account.
- In the top-right corner, click the diamond icon.
- Click View Plans.
- Choose a Plan: Select the most relevant coverage plan.
- In the top-right corner, click Next.
- On the next screen you will see "Listing and Reservation Coverage".
- Listings included in the policy:
- All listings are automatically included. If any listings are outside the geo-areas covered, these will be noted as not covered.
- You have the option to exclude specific listings by clicking Edit.
- Note: If you want to cover an excluded listing at a later date, you must contact Customer Solutions.
- Reservation Coverage:
- For only new reservations to be covered, leave the tickbox unchecked.
- To include confirmed future reservations, check the tickbox .
- NOTE: If you include confirmed future reservations, you will not be able to add a reservations fee to existing channel bookings.
- Listings included in the policy:
- Click Next.
- Review the coverage plan details, read and agree to the terms and conditions.
- Click Confirm.
Once completed, reservations that are covered by the Damage Protection plan and have checked out will be billed on a rolling monthly basis. Learn how to cover the added cost of using Damage Protection here.
Tip:
You can view the Damage Protection plan and file a claim through the reservation details page of the relevant reservation.
