When you connect your Booking.com account to Guesty For Hosts you are able to manage some conversations through our unified inbox, noting the limitations below.
Navigate to Messaging > Unified Inbox. At the top of the Inbox, click the down arrow and select Booking.com.
Booking.com messaging API limitations
Structured requests are types of communication from guests, predefined by Booking.com, that include inquiries or updates such as:
- Check-in/out time requests
- Date changes
- Requests to cancel or modify a reservation for less
- Parking inquiries
- Bed preferences or requests for extra beds/cribs
These types of requests are only accessible through the Booking.com extranet or email and will not sync with Guesty for Hosts.
While structured requests are unsupported, the Booking.com messaging API does allow for several functionalities that sync with Guesty For Hosts, including:
- Sending and receiving text messages
- Replying to free-text special requests
- Managing attachments (uploading, downloading, sending)
- Marking conversations as read or “no reply needed”
- Retrieving historical messages and conversations
For more information, see Booking.com's official documentation.
