How do Salto locks work with Guesty Locks Manager?

Salto locks are supported by Guesty Locks Manager (GLM) and enable you to create and manage temporary access codes for your guests. However, Salto locks behave differently than other lock providers. Read on to learn about these unique requirements:

  • To connect your Salto locks to Guesty Locks Manager, Salto requires that you have a Salto subscription.
  • Salto locks cannot be used with other lock providers for the same property. Also, Salto locks do not support common doors.
  • Lock codes are created randomly by Salto rather than by Guesty Locks Manager, and you can view them in Guesty Locks Manager only once they are activated.
  • Activation time is set in Guesty and must be up to four hours before check-in.
  • Early check-ins and late check-outs don't trigger a code update if the code is already active.
  • Team member codes cannot be customized. The codes are randomly generated by Salto and synced to Guesty Locks Manager within 20 minutes. Toggle off Expiration settings to ensure that the codes don't expire.
  • You can only view each new code up to 4 hours before check-in.
  • You cannot use Salto alongside any other lock provider within the same property.

Guesty Locks Manager currently supports only Salto lock models which have a keypad and support code generation.
