Preparing to Disconnect Guesty for Hosts

If you've decided not to migrate to Guesty Lite or Guesty Pro and plan to cancel your Guesty for Hosts (GFH) account, there are a few important steps to complete before cancellation.

This article outlines essential information you should export and save and required actions you must take to ensure a smooth transition away from Guesty.

Export and save your data

Before canceling your account, save all important operational and financial data. We recommend exporting the following information from your Guesty for Hosts account:

  • Reservations: Export your past and future booking reservations.

    1. Go to the Reservations menu.

    2. Click Export reservations.

  • Income Reports: Save your historical income reports and past GFH invoices.

    1. Go to the Income reports menu.

    2. Click View income reports.

    3. For each report, click View, then select Actions > Export.

      Important:

      Once Airbnb is disconnected, no new reservations are imported and won't be included in the data.

  • Messaging Information: Copy and paste into a document for your records.

  • Cleaning Information: Save relevant data from the Cleaning section, such as details for your cleaning teammates. Copy and paste into a document for your records

Note:

Review the remaining sections of your GFH account to copy and save any other relevant information you may need.

Take required actions

Cancel add-ons

If you are using any add-ons with your GFH account, you must cancel them before you can cancel the account.

Disconnect Airbnb account

This step is mandatory. You must disconnect your Guesty account from Airbnb on the Airbnb platform to ensure your listings are ready for any future platform.

Once Airbnb is disconnected, the Guesty website will no longer work.

  1. Sign in to your Airbnb account.

  2. Go to Account Settings.

  3. Select Privacy & Sharing.

  4. Under Connected Apps, click or tap Remove Access for your former software provider (Guesty).

Disconnect Vrbo

Standard connection

Follow these steps to disconnect your Vrbo listings in GFH on the standard connection.

Upgraded connection

  1. Follow these steps to disconnect your Vrbo listings in GFH on the upgraded connection.
  2. Once all listings are disconnected, contact Guesty For Hosts Support and request a full Vrbo Upgraded account disconnection
  3. Once your Vrbo listings and Vrbo Upgraded account are disconnected from GFH, request Vrbo to decommission the old integration.

Disconnect Booking.com

Follow these steps to unlink each Booking.com property from GFH, and disconnect GFH as a connectivity provider in Booking.com.

Request account cancellation and refund

Before we process your account cancellation you must complete all the required steps above, including:

  • Exporting and saving your data

  • Canceling add-ons

  • Disconnecting your Airbnb account

  • Disconnecting your Vrbo account

  • Disconnecting your Booking.com account

Once you've done this, contact us saying you'd like to cancel your GFH subscription. In the contact form, select "Payments and billing" as the ticket topic. if you’re using your own website domain, specify this in the ticket to include your SSL refund. If you need access to your account longer than 10 days, please specify this in the ticket.

We'll complete the process as follows:

  • Schedule your account suspension for 10 days from when your ticket request is received. 
    • If you requested longer, we'll schedule the suspension in 30 days.
  • If any refund is applicable, based on your unused subscription period, it will be automatically processed within 24-48 hours after suspension.
  • The refund is available in your bank account within 3-5 business days, depending on your card issuer.

Important:

You're responsible for disconnecting your channels and add-ons before requesting cancellation. Account suspension by Guesty does not automatically disconnect these services
